Key Staff at Ingle Living Communities
Peter Waltz
President, Board of Directors
Peter is a 1968 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School and began
his private practice in Mt. Horeb shortly after graduation. Having a vested
interest in the Mt. Horeb community, he served as Village President for 20
years, and holds the position of President of the Mt. Horeb Community Foundation.
Ingle Living Communities has been fortunate to have Peter serve
on the Board of Directors for 17 years, acting as President from 1970 through
1983 and again beginning in 2004.
As President of our nine-member Board, Peter serves as the facilitator
balancing the needs of our 155 owners and those of the people we serve. He
has donated many hours to help move Ingle Living Communities forward to address
the complex issues of Assisted Living and Long-Term Care.
Michael Rock
Administrator/Chief Executive Officer
Michael has been the Administrator of Ingle Living Communities since 1981.
He has a Masters of Business Administration-Finance from the University of
Wisconsin Whitewater and is a Senior Professional in Human Resource Management.
He has served as District President of the Wisconsin Health Care Association
and President of the Mt. Horeb Rotary club. Prior to joining Ingle Living
Communities, Michael did financial audits of hospitals and nursing homes for
the Medicare and Medicaid programs and was a hospital administrator.
A resident of Mt. Horeb, he has a vested interest in the community
including civic organizations and local government committees. Michael is
proud to have been instrumental in achieving the many goals and positive changes
which have occurred over the years at Ingle Living Communities. His leadership
skills and active involvement in Ingle Living Communities is evident by all
who come in contact with him.
Caron Truesdill
Director of Resident Care
Caron has been in geriatric nursing since 1994, and brings those years of experience to the Ingle Living Communities team. Before taking on her current role as Director of Resident Care, she held positions as a CNA, LPN, RN, and Director of Nursing, all of which were in long-term care in South Central Wisconsin. It is through those first-hand experiences that Caron understands the importance of each nursing role in providing quality care to our patients. While Caron directs the Nursing Department, she knows that long-term care is more than nursing, and helps to facilitiate communication and collaboration within each department. Caron's objectives are to ensure Ingleside provides exceptional individualized nrusing care as well as promoting and maintaining the highest degree of quality of life for each resident on an individual basis.
Linda Noord
Director of Resident & Family Services
Linda has been a valuable team member of Ingle Living Communities since 1984.
She is a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College and served as a Social Worker for
the State of Illinois prior to coming to Ingle Living Communities.
Linda is a Wisconsin Certified Social Worker, a long-standing
member of the Wisconsin Nursing Home Social Workers Association, and has been
the Director of Resident and Family Services at Ingleside since 1984. Additionally,
she is the admission director for all the Ingle Living Communities facilities.
Lindas sensitivity and patience are prominent in guiding
prospective patients, residents, tenants and their families through the admission
process and later from one facility to another as their needs change. She
and her staff provide continuity by assisting patients prior to their admission
and by remaining involved during all phases of their stay, including assistance
with discharge following rehabilitation.
A member of the Mt. Horeb community, Linda is very knowledgeable
of the resources and options available to prospective as well as current Ingle
Living Communities' residents and tenants. She has successfully assisted countless
family members through the transition of placing their loved one in skilled
care or assisted living.
Chris Kiesz
Director of Assisted Living
Chris
is a Registered Nurse and has been working specifically in Assisted Living
since 1994. Initially as a Nurse Consultant to multiple assisted living homes in Dane County, as a developer of various training programs for CBRF staff, and as an Area Director for a Wisconsin Assisted Living Company with multiple frail-elderly and dementia specific homes. Prior to becoming involved specifically in Assisted Living, Chris worked as a RN Case-Manager for a home health agency, staff nurse in long-term care, triage nurse and laboratory technician in family
practice clinics, and as an EMT for her community.
Chris works hard to ensure that the residents and tenants of
Inglehaven and Inglewood have a comfortable and safe home-like enviornment,
and the principles of Assisted Living are maintained, by offering choices,
maintaining dignity, and promoting individuality. Chris is a life-long resident
of the neighboring community of New Glarus, and appreciates the importance
of having seniors continue to live in a comfortable setting within their community,
something that Ingle Living Communities does so well.
Pamela Lokken
Human Resources Manager
Pam has had several years of human resources experience, which includes a
wide variety of industries. Ingle Living Communities reputation for providing
quality care as well as the professionalism and friendliness of the staff
drew Pam to her current position in 2002. Pams role focuses on employeesincluding
compensation and benefits, safety, legal compliance, and employee recognition.
She works to ensure that Ingle Living Communities attracts and
retains a workforce whose primary goal is ensuring personalized quality care
for those residents, patients, and tenants who count on us each day.
Pam obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree
in Human Resources Management from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Pam has also earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification,
which demonstrates her human resources knowledge and commitment to staying
informed of new developments in the human resources field. Pam's enthusiasm
puts current and prospective employees at ease. She is good at providing feedback
and helpful information to Ingle Living Communities' staff.
Don Thornton
Financial Manager
Don
has worked in long term health care in financial management capacities since
1978 and has been with Ingle Living Communities since 1988. Don holds degrees
in Accounting and Business Administration and is a member of the Institute
of Management Accountants. He has served on the Board of Directors of Access
to Community Services, a WI Combined Campaign Charitable Organization with
three terms as treasurer. He has also served on advisory committees for computerization
of the nursing home industry.
Don worked previously as an insurance agent specializing in
health care and life plans. He partakes in ongoing education and training
programs to keep up with changes in the field of third party payment for elder
and long term care including Medicare, Medicaid, HMO's and insurance arrangements.
Though he no longer actively markets insurance, he retains his insurance licenses
and education to assist residents and their families at Ingle Living Communities.
A believer in taking advantage of third party benefits that may be available
to an individual, Don assists in the process of applications and claims.
Sarah Nelson
Director of Nutritional Services
Sarah attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics degree. Since working in the food service industry since 1995, Sarah has provided a wealth of experience in catering to personalized food preferences. The menu has been seasoned with flavor and variety since Sarah joined the Ingle Living Communities team. Taking an interest in the residents and tenants preferences is one of Sarah's main objectives. Through resident and tenant group meetings, Sarah receives and offers feedback in regard to meal selections. On a regular basis, individualized counseling is provided to residents and families to comply with the resident's nutrition needs.
Laura Anderson
Assistant Director of Nursing
Laura has been a member of the Ingle Living Communities team since
2004. She brings over ten years of geriatric and long-term care experience
in various areas. Laura received an Associate Degree from Southwest Wisconsin
Technical School and a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Viterbo University.
She recently received a Master's Degree at UW-Madison School of Nursing with
an emphasis in geriatrics and mental health.
Laura has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Activity
Assistant, Nursing Home Billing Coordinator, a staff nurse, and in nursing
management. She thrives to ensure the residents receive the highest quality
care as she works with residents, families, and staff to ensure this. As a
member of the Wisconsin Nurses Association and ongoing continuing education
in the field of geriatrics, Laura is able to keep ahead of the constant changes
occurring in long-term care and the nursing profession.
Julie Jenson
Nursing Supervisor
Julie began her professional career at Ingle Living Communities in 1990. Throughout her career she has experienced varying levels of nursing responsibilities including Certified Nursing Assistant, Medication Administration Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, CNA Manager, and most recently Nursing Supervisor. As Julie's career advanced, so did her education. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2006 from Madison Area Technical College. Julie is also a Wound Care Certified Nurse, ensuring quality skin care for our patients and residents.
Melanie Siltala
Medicare Coordinator
Melanie joined the Ingle Living communities team in 1994 and graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Carroll/Columbia College in 1995. She began her Nursing career in long-term care while working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She eagerly took on the responsibilities of Medication Administration Assistant, and advanced to Staff Nurse, Nursing Supervisor and her current role as medicare Coordinator. As the Medicare Coordinator, Melanie plays a key role in ensuring patients receive appropriate care for their needs. She also takes pride to ensure Medicare guidelines are met, and documentation is clear and concise.
Colleen Keegan
Activity Director
Colleen is a 2005 graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire where
she earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Psychology. While attending
the university, she began her career working with patients suffering from
dementia. She has worked as a Personal Care Aid, Activities Assistant, Assistant
Program Director, and as a Life Enrichment Coordinator before taking on the
responsibilities of Ingleside’s Activity Director.
Colleen finds her work enjoyable and rewarding. When appropriate
she encourages the use of art and pet therapy. She says it’s an amazing
feeling when she has helped another person smile. Colleen especially enjoys
sharing stories with patients and residents, learning about their past, their
life lessons, and their experiences. As a member of the Wisconsin Representatives
of Activity Professionals (WRAP), the Southern Wisconsin Activity Professionals
Association (SWAPA), and the Alzheimer’s Association, Colleen is able
to keep up with the latest activity programming developments and apply them
to Inglesidešs programs. Colleen’s goal is to extend people’s
life goals and interests into their daily activities while they are at Ingleside.
Bill Sullivan
Director of Environmental Services
Bills
25 years of experience in the Environmental Services field has proved beneficial
to Ingle Living Communities. First impressions and maintaining a safe and
environmentally sound atmosphere are Bill's focal points. This is evident
from the moment you walk in the doors of the Ingle Living Communities facilities.
He believes strongly in maintaining and preserving a resident and tenant home-like
atmosphere. Bill is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior
of the facility.
Not only is cleanliness, comfort and safety priority, but for
many other aspects of Ingle Living Communities operations Bill ensures quality
and timeliness for: linen services, landscaping, temperature control, room
changes, coordinating contractors, and a variety of other projects. Bill strives
for perfection in all aspects of his job.
